Tsarukyan is a very strong wrestler who can take you down conveniently even with the textbook level of defence. With that said, Tsarukyan’s takedown defence is similarly close to perfection. Even though he lost his UFC debut against Islam Makhachev, fair to say he gave Makhachev the toughest test of his career. But do not mistake Tsarukyan to be only a wrestling nightmare, his TKO win over Christos Giagos says it all that he can land and that too hard enough to invite a finish sooner than expected.
Gamrot is also a similar fighter, a very high level wrestler with sneaky devastating strikes in his arsenal. However, Gamrot believes he has an edge over Tsarukyan in the jiu-jitsu department. Gamrot is comparatively more patient striker as he likes to take his time and set things up. This was really evident in Gamrot’s fight with Scott Holtzman.
