Watch: Alexander Volkanovski enjoys a UFC 272 watch party with Eugene Bareman, Carlos Ulberg, and the City Kickboxing crew
Alexander Volkanovski UFC 272 watch party
Alexander Volkanovski might be mid-camp for his upcoming title bout against The Korean Zombie, but even he couldn’t miss out on taking his time off to watch the blockbuster PPV of Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272.
The “Great” thought it would be a great idea to throw a watch party for his crew at the City Kickboxing and sit down to enjoy the entertaining pay-per-view event of UFC 272. Alexander Volkanovski drops a new vlog on his YouTube channel. The vlog features some exclusive footage of the champ training at his gym followed by the barbeque party for his boys at the CKB.
The first part of the vlog shows footage of Volkanovski training his ground game ahead of his fight against Chan Sung Jung. The featherweight champion will fight the Korean Zombie in the main event of UFC 273 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. It is safe to say that Volkanovski is not skipping grappling day in the gym.
Alexander Volkanovski and his team root for Jorge Masvidal
It is safe to say that Alexander Volkanovski is not a huge fan of “Chaos”. Even on the preview show, on FoxSports, Alex was pretty clear that he wanted Masvidal to knock out Covington. Just like Volkanovski, most of his team at the City KickBoxing were also rooting for “Gamebred” but to their surprise, Covington dominated most of the fight and got the win against Jorge.
Some of the members in the watch party included Volkanovski’s coach, Eugene Bareman, who is the head coach at City Kickboxing. Carlos Ulberg, the new UFC fighter was also present in the vlog. Volkanovski was originally supposed to be on the card of UFC 272.
Alex was booked for a trilogy fight against his intense rival Max Holloway. However, to the disappointment of everyone, the fight was canceled after Holloway fell out of the fight owing to an injury. Volkanovski was then booked to fight the Korean Zombie in the main event of UFC 273.
