It is safe to say that Tom Aspinall has the streets of London. The English fighter had all the London MMA fans going insane after his first-round finish of Alexander Volkov in the main event of UFC London.
UFC London was a much-anticipated event for MMA fans and especially the fans that lived in the UK. However, everyone had a mini heartbreak when news of Alexander Volkov not making it to the main event surfaced on social media. After a lot of hurdles, the UFC pulled off an extraordinary event for fans all over the world.
Rising heavyweight Tom Aspinall took on veteran Alexander Volkov in the main event of UFC Fight Night 204 held at the O2 Arena in London. The arena was packed to watch their homegrown talents take the center stage in what was arguably the greatest Fight Night event the UFC has delivered. Tom stole the headlines as he proved with his win against Volkov that he is championship material.
Aspinall’s submission in the first round got the entire O2 Arena erupted and caused insane decibels of cheers from the audience. The fans inside the O2 Arena were not alone in their celebrations as the streets of London were taken over by MMA fans chanting Tom Aspinall’s name in joy.

Aspinall displayed great skills in his fight against #6 ranked Volkov last night. The fighter made himself known to the elites of the heavyweight division as he submitted Volkov in 3:45 of round 1. Aspinall could’ve earned himself a earlier finish as he almost knocked out Volkov with deadly elbow strikes.
London fans were absolutely loving Aspinall and were cheering for him in the streets. “Tommy Aspinall! Na Na Na Na! Tommy Aspinall” chanted London fans in the streets. Aspinall after the fight said that he would love to do it again in the UK and has called out one of the biggest stars, Tai Tuivasa for his next fight.
The UFC President Dana White said he would want to put in another event in the UK before the end of 2022 and Aspinall is looking to wait till the promotion comes back to the UK before he steps into the octagon again.
