What’s next for Nate Diaz after his fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 263?

Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the UFC Welterweight division and he is coming back to compete inside the Octagon against Leon Edwards at UFC 263. He is coming in this fight almost after being on the sideline for one and half years.

This fight was originally scheduled for UFC 262 and it was going to be the first-ever UFC’s five-round co-main event for a non-title fight. But Nate pulled out from this due to a minor injury and this fight is moved forward to UFC 263.

Nate Diaz is coming in this fight with a loss against Jorge Masvidal which was for the BMF title. Leon Edwards, on the other hand, is coming in this fight with a no-contest against Belal Muhammad. He accidentally poked Muhammad in the eye and the fight ended in the second round.

Leon Edwards is ranked number 3rd in the UFC Welterweight division right now and a win in this fight can present him the opportunity to face the champion Kamaru Usman next. But ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ also showed interest in fighting Nate if he wins against Edwards.

Before this Nate fought once for the UFC Lightweight title against Ben Henderson on UFC on Fox: Diaz vs Henderson. If he wins this one he can possibly get the opportunity to fight once again for the UFC title. But what are the fights to make in the future if ‘The Stockton Slugger’ losses this one?

Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor 3 can be one of the biggest fights of this year

Along with Nate Diaz, the former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor also made his comeback inside the Octagon at UFC 257. But Conor faced the first TKO loss of his career against Dustin Poirier and now he is booked to face ‘The Diamond’ again at UFC 264.

A win in this fight will present the opportunity to face the newly crowned Lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira. But a loss in this fight will leave him to evaluate the possible opportunities. If Conor losses this one, the biggest fight for him will be against Nate Diaz.

Conor and Nate keep going back and forward with each other on social media on a number of occasions. They both have a 1-1 score in their previous face-offs and they wanted to settle it once for all. Their second fight was one of the UFC’s highest-selling pay per view and the fans will go crazy seeing them fight for the third time.

Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal 2 for the BMF Title

Jorge Masvidal is also one big name in the UFC Welterweight division who is eager to face Nate Diaz once again. Masvidal defeated Nate for the BMF title and after that, he faced Kamaru Usman two times but he faced loss in both of these.

He is now pushed back to number 7th in the UFC Welterweight rankings and he already showed his interest to put his BMF title on the line to face Nate Diaz in a rematch.
