If there’s one person in the UFC you could count on to sell out a fight it’s Conor Mcgregor. The man does not need any special co-main event or title shot to do a million-plus PPV buys. Conor Mcgregor’s interviews are to always look out for as he’s seen switching his persona for his fights. Whether he will be the nice Conor, evil Conor or the original fan favourite trash-talking Conor, not even the reporters know. But what happens when Mcgregor is asked a question out of his expertise?

Mcgregor was set to return against Donald Cowboy Cerrone at UFC 246. Fans were more than happy to witness him promote his fight and do media rounds prior to his return. However, in one such interview with ESPN, Conor was found in a weird spot. During the interview, Conor Mcgregor was asked about the tiger tattoo on his abs. It was later followed by the question, “Which Stripe of Tigers are you going with?” This was regarding the NCAA football championship.

Conor with a straight face and a smile across his face expressed his love for the animal tiger and both the teams. ” I don’t know, I love the tigers and I look forward to the match today”, said Conor. He then went on to appreciate the animal and wished both teams well. After finishing the interview Conor expressed how he had no idea about the teams. The room burst into laughter and Conor went on with his media rounds.

Even though Conor had no idea, he still managed to give a pretty solid answer. One of the greatest trash talkers in the UFC and his skills on the mic remains undefeated to this day. Conor won his fight against Cowboy in 47 seconds in the first round itself and is set to return against Michael Chandler this year. Cowboy retired from the UFC and was inducted into the UFC hall of fame.
