“Lucky that guy isn’t fighting,” When Joe Rogan was enthralled by Jones’ brother’s intimidating tale of lifting Jon Jones by the wrist

Jon Jones has established himself as the top dog in the UFC. But UFC commentator Joe Rogan reveals the ferocious strength of one of the Jones brothers who can even overpower the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Jon Jones recently took over the UFC Heavyweight division. He faced former interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. This was earlier this March and Jones took down Gane with a superb guillotine choke just two minutes into the first round. This fight was Jones’ return fight after a three-year hiatus since his last fight in February 2020.

Jones has led a very eclectic career as an MMA fighter and has a very impressive track sheet. With 27 wins and 1 no contest in his professional career, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones has only ever lost once. That too was by disqualification back in 2009’s The Ultimate Fighter. Jon Jones in popular opinion is considered one of the best fighters in UFC history. But according to Jones, he is lucky that one of his brothers, Chandler Jones, decided not to venture into MMA.

There are three of the Jones brothers. Arthur Jones is one year older than Jon Jones and is the eldest of three siblings. ‘Bones’ is the middle child and the UFC Heavyweight Champion. The brother in question here is Chandler Jones, the youngest of the three brothers.

Joe Rogan reveals the only person who can overpower Jon Jones

UFC commentator Joe Rogan discussed the Jones brothers in episode #1957 of the Joe Rogan Experience with fellow comedian Shane Gillis. There he reveals the story of how Chandler Jones “lifted” the UFC Heavyweight Champion by his wrists.

“That’s one of the things that Jon Jones says about his brother Chandler, “ Rogan said. ” He’s like, he goes, ‘I f*cked around with’. He goes, ‘I was grabbing his wrists’. Like, he was sitting down, and he said, ‘Chandler like basically lifted him up in his wrist’”. Jones said that he has never felt strength like that in his life. “We’re just lucky that guy doesn’t fight’,” he said.

Chandler Jones has a successful career in American Football and currently plays as a defensive end for the Las Vegas Riders. ‘Bones’ once said that he believes his little brother was born to be a great football player.
