Joe Rogan is widely known for his argumentative skills and the ability to have exciting conversations. The UFC color commentator does not back down even if he’s against a politician or, in some cases, a BJJ black belt athlete.
In one of Rogan’s old videos that went viral, Rogan had a heated and long debate with a BJJ expert about the use of marijuana. In the video, the expert called out Joe Rogan for promoting weed. The individual explained that he had done his research and would not back down from the argument.
Rogan was initially patient with the individual and was taking his words lightly, but as the conversation escalated, Rogan snapped. He said, “What the f**** research have you done. What have you learned, what are you talking about. You are talking about research but you are saying nothing. What the f*** are you talking about.”
However, this didn’t faze the BJJ black belt at all, as he continued to talk about his views about the bad effects of marijuana. But Joe Rogan didn’t comply and ended the long conversation with hilarious statements regarding taking weed with chimpanzees and watching UFOs.
Joe Rogan believes marijuana is not safe for everybody despite advocating it’s legality
Joe Rogan has always embraced the personal use of marijuana and is infamous for smoking weed with his friends on his Spotify podcast. The UFC legend even had Twitter CEO Elon Musk smoke weed on a podcast, which stirred much controversy.
However, he was well aware of its negative side. In one of his podcast episodes, he expressed his perspective on marijuana, indicating that he doesn’t consider it entirely risk-free. He elaborated on the experiences of individuals, particularly with edibles, where some have consumed excessive amounts, leading to unsettling reactions. While he didn’t claim to know anyone who had suffered psychotic breaks, he acknowledged instances where people experienced prolonged episodes of distress.
Despite maintaining his support for the legalization of marijuana, Rogan acknowledges that the drug may not be suitable for everyone. He also acknowledged that he made broad and sweeping statements on the topic in the past.
