Dana White has always been pretty vocal about his political ideologies and connections with the public. The hardcore Donald Trump supporter has often talked about why he preferred Trump as his president. However, it wasn’t the case in the beginning.

In an old viral video of Dana White talking to Ariel Helwani, the UFC president can be heard talking about his meeting with Joe Biden, when he was the vice President. Helwani asked White, how his meeting with Biden went, to which White revealed that it was nice and they had a good time together. White explained that the officials called him to talk about the matter of promoting voting among young kids.

White said: “It was cool. Very nice guy, he was fun to hang out with and I had a good time. I was honored. Basically what happened is these guys called on me to get out and try to get younger people to vote. The fact that the vice president of the United States called on me to come out and try to get young people to vote, I’m honored, man.”

White was passionate about his role in that whole project as he really wanted to help kids understand the importance of voting in the US. This took place almost a decade ago and since then things have changed a lot.

White and Donald Trump go way back to 2001 when UFC was struggling to get the green light from State  Athletic Commissions as well as arenas to hold their events. In that dire situation, Trump stood up for UFC and personally helped them to hold events.

To this day, White has always been grateful to Trump for championing UFC when nobody else believed in it. White in the past has tried his best to help Trump to win the elections and become the president of the United States.

In 2020, when Joe Biden defeated Trump to become the new President of the US, as expected White was asked questions about it. White mentioned that Biden doesn’t even know who White is and also joked about Biden coming after UFC. Despite Trump’s loss, White has always been supportive of him and has never shied away from lending his helping hand.
