UFC fighters are normally extremely popular and have great connections with Hollywood. Often celebrities from each industry date each other and one such incident took place in 2012. Man of Steel lead Henry Cavill once dated UFC superstar Gina Carano and the pair looked terrific while it lasted. The pair met each other in the fall of  2012 and made their relationship public in 2013.

The former Strikeforce female fighting sensation left mixed martial arts (MMA) back in 2009 in order to pursue a career in Hollywood. Due to her popularity, Carano bagged a lot of action-oriented roles in movies such as Haywire, Fast & Furious 6, etc.

She got even more popular and hung out with Hollywood superstars and eventually met Henry Cavill with whom she hit it from the very beginning. Cavill, who was already an established actor, reached superstar status by playing Superman in the Warner Brothers production. Cavill liked Carano a lot and was amazed by her wild personality. “She is ­amazing,” Henry said in an interview.

Both appeared together in various events and award shows and were going smoothly. Cavill and Carano also adopted a dog together, which hinted at the longevity of their renewed romance. However, after months of dating in 2014, the couple decided to give up on the relationship. None of them talked anything about their relationship in public and didn’t give a reason for their breakup.

Gina Carano thinks fighting is just like having s*x

Before committing to being an actress, Gina Carano made her career in MMA  and has a great experience in fighting. All that MMA training helped her a lot in her acting career and she will never forget that. During an interview with Conan, Carano famously mentioned how she thinks cage fighting is like s*x.

She said: “I think that fighting is similar to sex in that people have to let their guards down—well, some people do and some people don’t. The secret is chemistry. When two people are attacking each other, that chemistry is definitely going to come out in an interesting way.”

She continued: “When you fight someone, you share the experience with that one person, and you’re never going to have that experience with someone else—even in another fight. I always have this weird connection with them. It really is like we had sex. I’ll always know how many people I fought.”

According to the former fighter, fighters share a connection when they fight each other and she will always remember all his fights and opponents and that’s why it’s like having sex with a partner.
