After dominating the gaming industry with UFC 4, EA Sports returns with the next series installment. Three years after its previous iteration’s release, EA Sports will return with UFC 5. The game will feature many beloved fighters, with some new additions. However, the UFC color commentator and famous podcast host Joe Rogan won’t be a part of EA UFC 5.
UFC 4, featuring Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal sharing the cover, made waves through the gaming industry. It was one of the biggest sports games and has come a very long way from its first game. Many fans appreciated the depth of the game’s multi-layered combat system, and UFC 4 also tried making its complex systems a bit less of a hindrance for newcomers.
UFC 4 was the number one game on the UK charts sidelining many games and maintaining its position. EA Sports and UFC hope to recreate the same effect on a bigger scale with their latest UFC 5. The game will release soon, and fans will get a much bigger reveal in September. Apart from the fighters, it also features life-like commentary from Jon Anik and former double-division champion Daniel Cormier.
However, the game does not include the voice of one of UFC’s prominent figures. Color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan has not been featured in UFC 4 and will also be absent from the game’s latest part.

Why is UFC color commentator Joe Rogan not a part of UFC 5
Despite sparring no expenses for the latest UFC 5 by EA Sports, the game will not feature one of its prominent figures. UFC 5, just like UFC 4, will not feature the organization’s commentating talent Joe Rogan. The developers at EA Sports had to work with voice lines from real UFC fights to put in the game for UFC 3.
However, Rogan has been completely out for UFC 4 and 5. Creative director Brian Hayes stated that Joe Rogan never enjoyed doing voiceovers. The color commentator was upfront about his experience doing voiceovers with the team. “He hated doing voiceover on these games as well. That has nothing to do with us in particular, or, you know, our games versus other games. He just does not like sitting in a booth reading lines for hours at a time,” said Brian.
On his podcast, Joe Rogan stated that it was a very challenging experience for him, and he does not wish to repeat it. Despite Rogan’s reluctance to do voiceover, fans of the game and UFC have demanded his inclusion in the latest iteration.
UFC 5 video game fans demand to include Joe Rogan in the upcoming game

It has outraged fans for not including Rogan. Many flocked to social media and demanded the game include its long-time commentator Joe Rogan. While fans want Rogan to be a part of the game, they likely won’t see that happening. Instead, the game commentary for UFC 5 will feature Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier.
