One such superstar that emerged from that gym is UFC welterweight fighter Jorge Masvidal and coach Mike Brown felt it was important to remind the fans of the humble beginnings of his pupil. In a recent Instagram post, Mike posted a picture of Masvidal, holding a sign that read, “HUNGRY!! WILL FIGHT FOR FOOD!! BACKYARDS, UFC, KFC, SHOW ME THE $$$!!!”

In his caption, he wrote, “Here’s a classic. a young Pre-UFC [Jorge Masvidal] trying to get paid and looking to get signed by a major MMA promotion. Oh how times have changed, Jorge is now one of the absolute biggest PPV draws in the sport.”
