As Manchester United gears up for another Premier League battle against Aston Villa, the latter’s boss, Unai Emery had made it very clear that the Red Devils won’t have it easy at any cost. Villa will be coming hard after them and their midweek win over German giants, Bayern Munich is a precedent for the powerhouse that they can be.

A Jhon Duran masterclass against the Bavarians saw Aston Villa register a narrow and yet impactful victory in the Champions League. Unai Emery who has been bossing the side to a resurgent dawn since 2022 has made it clear that in his experience he knows that Manchester United can always be a tough contender and he is preparing harder for the Red Devils than he did for the German stalwarts.

They are a winning team. They have an experienced coach, experienced players. The club is usually a winning club. They are still winners, last year they won the FA Cup. They are not getting consistently good results in the Premier League, but in one match they can exploit their capacity and have a huge performance. I respect them and I will prepare the match more than how I prepared the match against Bayern Munich.

Unai Emery said in the pre-match presser ahead of their clash against Manchester United

Manchester United has won their last three clashes against Aston Villa, inclusive of two wins at home and one away. Despite a 3-1 defeat against Villa back in 2022, the Red Devils have sensationally held their own.

Their last victory came against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on 18th September. Since then they have drawn against Crystal Palace, and FC Twente, lost against Tottenham Hotspur and drew against FC Porto.

As the reports go INEOS is not happy with this development and has made it clear that in order to save his job, ETH must propel Manchester United to winning ways in the upcoming couple of games. If things don’t go to plan, then there are high possibility that the board may finally have to intervene while putting Erik ten Hag out of his misery. United play against Aston Villa tomorrow and they will have a fortnight to settle things before they lock horns against Brentford.
