Being a pro wrestling buff demands wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve. And that’s exactly what Raw announcer Samantha Irvin did last week when Rhea Ripley made her return. In a video posted on WWE’s official Instagram handle, Irvin could be seen making some perplexing gestures as Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio were about to make out in the ring itself.

However, as soon as Mami’s theme song hit, Samantha Irvin freaked out and popped out of her chair nestled beside the timekeeper’s area. One could already feel the sudden shift in ambience at the Canadian Tire Centre. Rhea Ripley was welcomed back with a deafening ovation while she marched towards the ring. Morgan had already strolled out, leaving Dominik in absolute shambles.

Once Rhea got inside, she looked at Mysterio dead into his eyes, seeking a justification for the mess that her Dom-Dom orchestrated while she was on the sidelines. The live feed on the USA Network was cut off due to time constraints, but post-show footage suggested that Ripley was in no mood to listen to whatever Dom was trying to tell her. Meanwhile, Liv Morgan was seeing all that unfold in real time from behind the curtains.

WWE released that clip on their social media handles. And Liv couldn’t be more proud of everything that transpired, as if it were her plan all along. Morgan and Ripley are on a collision course. It was courtesy of the reigning Women’s World Champion that the Judgment Day member was forced to relinquish her title back in April. Back then, the Aussie grappler vowed to get her pound of flesh once she’s cleared. And it appears like that time is now.

It’s just a matter of time at this point before Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World title gets the official nod for SummerSlam. It’s been months in the making. Their saga goes beyond a year.

Last year, in July, it was The Eradicator who viciously injured Liv’s shoulder to send her packing for months. On Raw post-WrestleMania XL, Morgan got one back on Rhea when she did the same to her. And now, they’re even playing field in that regard.

It all boils down to the championship gold and months of malice that’s only aggravated. This week on Raw, things are expected to get tense, encompassing Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio. The latter would have no choice but to cede in front of his Mami.
