For the first time since 2020, Roman Reigns competed in a Royal Rumble match. Entering at #16, Reigns made a bold statement, showing why he was the most dominant champion in the industry for four years. After racking up four eliminations, Reigns came face-to-face with his arch nemesis, Seth Rollins. The duo exchanged back-and-forth exchanges before attempting to throw each other out. However, a wary CM Punk capitalized and threw both men over the top rope.

Immediately after that, Logan Paul eliminated Punk as well. As such, the trio of Reigns, Rollins, and Punk stood outside, visibly frustrated with what had transpired. While Reigns and Punk were arguing, Rollins hit a Curb Stomp on his former Shield teammate. Moments later, The Visionary returned once again to deliver another Stomp on Reigns, this time onto the steel steps. Following the melee, cameras caught a visibly dejected Reigns exiting from ringside.

In the clip, Paul Heyman could be seen consoling his Tribal Chief while the latter looked on in disbelief. The Head of the Table entered this match with the purpose of winning it and taking back the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, Punk and Rollins unintentionally teamed up to spoil his WrestleMania 41 plans.

Unsurprisingly, Roman Reigns put on a stellar performance in the match. The former Undisputed WWE Champion eliminated The Miz, Joe Hendry, Sheamus, and Bron Breakker. Furthermore, he teased future encounters with Breakker and Jacob Fatu, the latter of whom he had been feuding with last year. Interestingly, Reigns planted the seeds for his potential WrestleMania 41 encounter as well.

Will Roman Reigns be in triple-threat action at WrestleMania?

It is no secret that Roman Reigns is not a fan of either CM Punk or Seth Rollins. At the Royal Rumble, tensions brew amongst the three stars, as their hatred for one another led to all of their eliminations from the match.

The post-elimination drama was even more intense, as they seemingly laid a platform for a future triple threat match. A few weeks back, Fightful reported that Reigns vs. Punk was discussed internally for WrestleMania 41. At the time, Punk was feuding with Rollins, with many believing that the duo would culminate their own rivalry at the Showcase of Immortals.

Additionally, the history between Reigns and Rollins has been well-documented for years. As such, it wouldn’t be surprising if these three separate feuds culminate in a huge triple threat match at WrestleMania 41.
