With WWE Raw’s debut on Netflix just hours away, fans have been speculating relentlessly online. Moreover, this has intensified, especially after Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson confirmed he would appear on the show. Considering past events changing plans due to The Final Boss, many were skeptical about the main event of tonight’s spectacle. However, it seems that the planned main event is set to go ahead as scheduled.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone on X, CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins will indeed headline Raw’s debut episode on Netflix. For weeks, WWE reiterated multiple times that the longtime rivals would main event the show. Despite the company’s confirmation, several fans were not satisfied given what has transpired in the past. Circa back a year, The Rock returned to WWE and sparked chaos both on and off-screen.

After taking Cody Rhodes‘ WrestleMania main event spot against Roman Reigns, it took heavy fan backlash for WWE to revert back to the original plan. Months later, The Great One came back at the end of Bad Blood, which led to The Bloodline tag team match headlining the PLE. In fact, The Rock ‘stealing’ Punk’s main event every time he shows up has become a hilarious running gag among the internet wrestling community.

As for what he will do during his appearance, The Brahma Bull dropped a massive teaser on social media. In addition to confirming his status for the Netflix premiere, the 52-year-old wrote about his Samoan background. On tonight’s Raw special edition, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will be battling it out to determine who is the ‘Tribal Chief’ of the family. Therefore, it is likely that The Rock could make his presence known during this bout.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins took unfiltered shots at each other ahead of Raw Netflix clash

Such is the magnitude of tonight’s Raw episode that it needed a separate go-home show for it. On last week’s edition, CM Punk and Seth Rollins met inside the ring for one last time before their much-anticipated clash.

Rollins called Punk out for walking out on the fans a decade ago. In response, Punk referenced Vince McMahon and his pattern of turning the locker room against stars who abruptly leave WWE. Moreover, The Second City Saint questioned whether Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, had also ‘walked out’ last year.

The former Shield member alluded to Punk not only walking out but taking several shots at WWE. Rollins then mentioned Punk’s infamous outburst on Colt Cabana‘s podcast and his fallout with AEW prior to returning. Needless to say, this segment has left fans eagerly anticipating tonight’s main event on the Netflix premiere.
