It was at SummerSlam that Jacob Fatu was believed to have tweaked his leg while delivering a frog splash to Cody Rhodes through the commentary table. He was in agony and was even helped back by WWE officials as Fatu was limping around. However, as per PW Nexus, the former MLW Champion isn’t injured.

Instead, he’s been off television since SummerSlam so as to avoid a confrontation with Roman Reigns. Dave Meltzer recently spoke about the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. According to him, WWE doesn’t want to allow a faceoff between Fatu and Reigns just yet. However, The Samoan Werewolf isn’t expected to be on the sidelines for long. He’s said to be back in the hunt before the end of this month.

From what the fans could gather, The OTC is after Solo Sikoa right now. Last week on SmackDown, Sikoa was in the ring with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. The Tribal Chief pretender asked Roman Reigns to try and take that revered Ula Fala off him. Roman arrived, and he had receipts for the Bloodline trio. At one point, Reigns had the Samoan garland within grasp but couldn’t quite retain it as he was outnumbered.

Sikoa, despite having been assaulted by Reigns, managed to get out of harm’s way. By the looks of it, WWE is currently pushing for a singles match between The Head of the Table and The Street Champion. Roman wouldn’t have forgotten what the new Bloodline did to his Wiseman Paul Heyman last month on SmackDown. A helpless Heyman was brutalized by Sikoa and his men. It would be interesting to see how Paul finds his way back into this story.

Are Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes destined for a trilogy?

One could easily get carried away by the charm of how Roman Reigns helped Cody Rhodes retain his Undisputed WWE title at SummerSlam. However, it’s not that way. Reigns went after Solo Sikoa because he had blatantly usurped the throne of The Tribal Chief and not because he’s empathetic with Rhodes.

There’s no love lost between Roman and Cody. In a video posted by WWE across their digital platforms, the former Bloodline boss could be heard telling The American Nightmare that it’s only a matter of time before the Undisputed WWE title goes back to him.

It took Reigns 118 days to get over his loss at WrestleMania XL. Reigns and Rhodes are tied at 1-1, and in all likelihood, there’s a third match in the works. But it might take a while. As of now, the former Big Dog seems hellbent on restoring some restraint among his Anoa’i akins.
