Ever since John Cena advocated for bringing WrestleMania to London, the fans have been all over it. Surely, it would take time. The WWE higher-ups would be more than willing to entertain the idea. However, it must be centered around maximizing profit in every potential revenue stream.
Per PWInsider, WWE President Nick Khan and his team will be extremely receptive to ponder upon the idea given that London’s concerned authorities are keen on ponying up the money. Not to forget Sadiq Khan, who made headlines for his ambitious pledge to lure a potential WrestleMania in London, has been re-elected as the city’s mayor. WWE CCO Triple H also posted on X that they need to talk.
There’s also an update on what has changed in regards to future WrestleMania locations ever since Endeavor took WWE under its umbrella. Cities like New Orleans, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Florida were considered the front-runners before the acquisition happened. Back then, John Saboor was WWE’s EVP of Special Events.
Moreover, Minneapolis also lodged a heavy bid and was a favorite to land next year’s WrestleMania. However, as fans saw, Triple H officially confirmed that WrestleMania in 2025 is heading to Las Vegas. The pop-culture extravaganza will take center stage at the Allegiant Stadium come April 19 and 20.
The change incurred as the new ownership wanted Sin City, feeling it’s a way more lucrative market. Minnesota is still being considered to end up hosting the biggest event in WWE’s calendar somewhat sooner. Hollywood actor and legendary wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has already stated that he’s looking forward to WrestleMania 41.
Is WrestleMania 41 the end of John Cena’s in-ring career?
With next year’s WrestleMania set to emanate from the Entertainment Capital of the World, it’s bound to have some jaw-dropping moments. By and large, there might be a moment on the show no one would be rooting for.
It’s none other than a potential retirement match for John Cena. The 16-time World Champion had a cameo at WrestleMania XL. However, as he stated on an edition of The Pat McAfee Show the Monday after ‘Mania 40, he’s closing in on hanging his boots up for good.
Cena teased returning to WWE somewhere after Christmas to have that one last run before calling it a day on his iconic career. The 47-year-old had his last WrestleMania match in 2023, where he succumbed to Austin Theory.
