It seems like WWE wants to close this calendar year on a high with how the company has been using Roman Reigns, who’s arguably the biggest attraction despite not holding any title. ‘The Tribal Chief’ recently took a month off to film Street Fighter, and he’s now back in business. With Reigns slated to compete at this weekend’s Crown Jewel PLE, would he be around for Survivor Series next month as well?
Dave Meltzer noted in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he’s penciled in for the WarGames match at Survivor Series. It rules out the possibility of a singles showdown for the Pensacola-born wrestler in San Diego. Meltzer also stated that Reigns’ inevitable one-on-one match with Seth Rollins isn’t likely to happen before 2026.
The former Shield brothers are expected to be part of the first-ever Royal Rumble PLE in Saudi Arabia. Could that be where the two of them end up having their long-awaited clash? Time will tell. Many believe that Reigns vs. Rollins has WrestleMania written all over it. With the Show of Shows returning to Las Vegas next year, one would imagine it’s a no-brainer to do the singles match there.
Roman Reigns reportedly set for WarGames at Survivor Series:

There’s no Roman Reigns/Seth Rollins match before at the earliest January, and I doubt January because I’m sure they’ll both be in the Rumble. So, I think it’s probably WrestleMania as a guess.

‘The OTC’ hasn’t gotten his hands on Rollins ever since getting bulldozed by the latter and his disciple, Bron Breakker. In fact, at the moment, Reigns is dealing with another cog in the wheel, Bronson Reed. ‘The Auszilla’ will look to pummel the former Undisputed WWE Champion in an Australian Street Fight at Crown Jewel.
Around whom could Roman Reigns’ rumored WarGames match revolve?
Should Roman Reigns dispatch Bronson Reed in Perth, he might get a step closer to Seth Rollins. However, with Bron Breakker also on the hunt, the ‘Head of the Table’ wouldn’t find it easy to penetrate The Vision. The saga is nowhere near its end and basically entails that this year’s WarGames will revolve around Rollins and his men on one side with Reigns on the other.

Brock Lesnar could form a temporary alliance with ‘The Visionary’ given his reconciliation with Paul Heyman. But who would back Reigns up? The easiest answer could be The Usos. However, based on recent interactions, the twin brothers are also in a state of turmoil, with ‘Big Jim’ cynical of Reigns’ advice doing any good to ‘The Yeet Master’.
If they could put their differences aside for a while, the fans might see the reunion of the OG Bloodline for the second straight year inside WarGames. While it could sound unreasonable, Cody Rhodes may also be a plausible option to join Reigns in his quest against The Vision.
After all, Rhodes will take on Rollins at the Crown Jewel and is another one of those top babyfaces under siege. The fans will get more clarity on the respective teams once Crown Jewel is out of the window.
Braun Strowman schools Paul Heyman over false Roman Reigns claim
On this week’s Raw, Bronson Reed was hyped by Paul Heyman as the first man in WWE history to put Roman Reigns on a stretcher. However, one of The OTC’s old rivals, Braun Strowman, posted photo evidence of having done so to the ‘Tribal Chief’ many years ago itself.

‘The Monster of All Monsters’ brutally assaulted Reigns in April 2017, which caused the latter to be stretchered out of the arena. Strowman dismissed Heyman’s claim by hilariously comparing him to Oswald Cobblepot on X. The former Universal Champion has manhandled Reigns quite like no one else in his prime.

Strowman’s acerbic reply to Heyman is interesting also because of The Wiseman’s brazen comments during WrestleMania 41 weekend. Heyman affirmed on Pat McAfee‘s show that the reason Strowman wasn’t on the WrestleMania card was because he wasn’t good enough.
