Updated ATP rankings after US Open 2024: Jannik Sinner tightens grip on No. 1 while Novak Djokovic drops out of Top 3; Alexander Zverev reaches career high No. 2

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has continued his dominance in the ATP rankings thanks to his maiden US Open title win. With a staggering 11,180 points to his name, Sinner has a 4,105-point lead over second-placed Alexander Zvereev.

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic saw another low this season as the Serbian fell out of the top three. With 5,560 points, Djokovic is now ranked World No. 4. Ahead of him now are Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev.

While Alcaraz retained the World No. 3 spot with 6,690 ranking points, Zverev surged to a career-high No. 2 with 7,075 points. The German tennis ace gained 40 points thanks to his quarterfinal finish in New York.

Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev (5,475 points) and Andrey Rublev (4,645 points) continue to hold the World Nos. 5 and 6 positions, respectively. Taylor Fritz is one of the biggest gainers, having climbed five spots in the ATP rankings to become the new World No. 7.

The American No. 1 benefitted from his runner-up finish at the US Open. Fritz gained 940 points and now has 4,060 points to his credit. Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud, and Grigor Dimitrov slipped one place each and complete the ATP Top 10.

Frances Tiafoe and Jack Draper are big gainers in latest ATP rankings

After Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe and Jack Draper have also gained big in the latest ATP rankings. While Tiafoe gained four places to move to the 16th spot, Draper broke into the Top 20, with a career-high ranking as he moved up five places to occupy the 20th spot.

Both Tiafoe and Draper made it to the semifinals in New York and gained 440 and 620 points, respectively, to surge in the ATP rankings. Alexei Popyrin, who defeated Novak Djokovic in the third round, also jumped four places to reach the 24th spot.

Meanwhile, Ben Shelton incurred the most damage after he failed to match his semifinal finish from last year at the US Open. The 21-year-old slipped four places as he lost 620 points and now sits in the 17th position in the ATP rankings.
