Two talented Nextgen players Alexander Zverev, the 5^th seeded German and Borna Coric, the 27^th seeded Croat lock horns at the US Open on Tuesday in what looks to be an interesting matchup.

Borna Coric defeated Stefanos Tsisipas in a 5 set thriller in the 3^rd round from a losing situation and breezed past Jordan Thompson in the 4^th round.

Alexander Zverev on the other hand has had minor hiccups along the way losing a set each in his first 3 rounds but easily winning in 3 sets against Fokina in the 4^th round.

Alexander Zverev and Coric have faced each other 4 times in the past with the Croatian having a better measure of Zverev on 3 occasions. Coric won the first two encounters between the duo in 2015 and 2017, before Zverev got his first win over him at the Miami Masters in 2018. However, Coric bounced back from the defeat in Halle last year, clinching an easy 6-1, 6-4 win.
