US Open 2020: Novak Djokovic vs Kyle Edmund Preview, Head-to-Head, Prediction
Novak Djokovic Kyle Edmund
After breezing past Damir Dzumhur in the opening round, No.1 seed Novak Djokovic will have a tougher opponent in the form of Kyle Edmund in the Round of 64 match at the US Open 2020.
Talking about the first-round match, Djokovic had little difficulty in defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Dzumhur. The 33-year old Serb finished the match in real quick time 6-1, 6-4, 6-1. The defending Australian Open and Cincinnati Open champion is yet to lose a match this year.
On the other hand, Kyle Edmund had to dig deep to get the better of Alexander Bublik. The 25-year old Brit dropped the first set before overcoming the challenge of Bublik in four sets 2-6, 7-5, 7-5, 6-0. The match was definitely tiresome for Edmund and it would be interesting to see whether it becomes a crucial factor in his contest against Djokovic.
Novak Djokovic vs Kyle Edmund: Head-to-Head
The two players are not new to each other as they have played six times in the past prior to their meeting in New York. Djokovic leads the head-to-head record against Edmund 5-1. They last faced each other in a Round of 16 match at ATP Masters 1000 Paris in 2018. The Serb had comfortably beaten Kyle Edmund in two sets 7-6, 6-1.

Djokovic is expected to win his match against Edmund without any hiccups and extend his lead in head-to-head meets against the Brit.
