1. Not Checking Corners
Most beginners in a game get killed due to a lack of map knowledge. While maps in Valorant are mostly are pretty straightforward, they have a lot of corners, and enemies are always lurking for one free kill. So don’t give them one! Check every corner when you are flanking or playing on a retake.
2. Playing too Passive
Whether you are a duelist or sentinel, playing passive has disadvantages not only for you but also for your teammates. Waiting for too long to enter the sites will cost your time, and you may get killed by rotating enemies or flankers.
3. Planting Default
Players should avoid planting the spike in the default position of the map to avoid retake lineups from the enemy team. This will prevent known attacks from the defense team as well as will most likely waste some of the enemies’ resources like pre-placed nades.
4. Not Checking for Flanks
Since flanking is a good game strategy, players should keep an eye out for flanking enemies that may just be around waiting for that one kill and that could be you.
5. Not Using Abilities
Another main problem with beginners in Valorant is that they don’t quite feel the need to use their abilities in attack mode. Sage can not only use her wall as a defense but also a useful attacking strategy.
