Valorant launches trailer for Ion 2.0 skin bundle, calls it The New Era

Valorant recently dropped the trailer for the upcoming skin bundle, revealing the Ion 2.0 collection. Valorant gun skins have always been one of the most successful commercial aspects from Riot, with several skin bundles becoming fan favorites over time. Calling it The New Era, Valorant has decided to bring back its hyper-successful Ion skin bundle, albeit a few changes, on popular demand by fans.

Everything we know about the Ion 2.0 skin bundle

Varolant had begun bringing out newer varients of old skin bundles early this year, with firstly the RGX skin bundle being presented and later on the Reaver 2.0 collection brought out. While both the RGX 2.0 and Reaver 2.0 boasted of the Phantom, the Ion 2.0 will feature the Vandal instead, along with a karambit that is increasingly becoming the fans’ and streamers’ go to skin. In the pistol range, the Ion 2.0 will give feature a frenzy, and this time around, the Operator has been replaced with the Ares.

Although no player cards have been teased in the 1:58 min trailer, it is highly anticipated that the pack will contain a few one-time exclusive player cards and gun buddies that Ion fans will be inching to get a hold of. Add to that the impressive price range that the Premium category boasts of, this bundle will feature the traditional Ion finisher that has gained so many si-fi fans worldwide.

The trailer features a biker using weapons from the new Ion 2.0 bundle, shifting on to latest gameplay featuring a variety of agents. Valorant is doing quite the commendable job in meeting up to the fans’ expectations, firstly with the release of the new agent Varun Batra, codenamed Harbor and later on including Easter eggs and teasers for the new map in development. Overall, the Ion 2.0 appears to be a solid pick for all of the sci-fi fanatics out there, and this bundles has the potential to become a cult classic over time.
