New Valorant RGX 11Z Pro skin disabled by developers due to FPS drop

It has not been long since the new Valorant RGX 11Z Pro skin bundle came out for in-store purchase in the game. Players were no doubtedly hyped about the all-new skin bundle, themed totally differently, and even introducing a new feature of kill counters as level 5 in the weapon series, apart from the finisher and animations. However, after a proven backlash over FPS drops by several users took place on the internet, developers have disabled the Level 5 and variants purchase of new RGX 11Z Pro skin bundle. Valorant RGX 11Z Pro skin disabled

The new Valorant RGX 11Z Pro skin has five variant upgrades including a Kill tracker and inline colour changing animations apart from the normal upgrades. This is the first time Riot Games has implemented a technology that would record your kills on your equipped weapon.  Launched with patch 3.07, the new bundle had special skins with the ability to show your kill counter on the skins themselves, but it was at the expense of your FPS taking a dip of up to 100 frames in some cases.

The RGX 11Z PRO Bundle has the following weapons alongside a Katana-themed Melee knife. It is set in the Premium Edition (PE) Tier, which costs 8,700 Valorant Points.

  • Frenzy
  • Guardian
  • Stinger
  • Vandal

All of these skins have been disabled from availing level 5 temporarily until Riot Games finds a fix after a severe backlash from the community. Valorant pro player Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan had also tweeted that he gets 100 less FPS when using the new Vandal skin of this series.

“As a stopgap, we’re disabling purchases of Level 5 and variants for the guns in this skin set. You can still purchase all other levels and all the melee levels. A full fix is still in the works. Stay tuned” Valorant official had tweeted.
