VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 1
The moment which all eSports fans were waiting for finally here, the Valorant Masters Reykjavík, Iceland. After almost a year finally, a LAN event is going to happen in REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND. After a series of multiple qualifiers and finals, the best 10 teams from around the world will be selected and these teams Qualified for VCT are facing each other in the Master hosted at Laugardalshöll venue.
VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 1
There were 3 games on day 1 and all the games will be in the format of Best of 3 maps. The first team to win 2 maps will take the win.
Game 1 (Fnatic vs KRU)
On 24 May 2021, Fnatic of EMEA and KRU from LATAM region went face to face on the 1st Game of the day.
Map 1 (Haven): In map 1, Haven Fnatic showed consistent dominance. Although KRU won the first 2 rounds then Fnatic came back with 10 rounds in a row after that. Fnatic won the map with 13-5 on the scoreboard.
Map 2 (Icebox): In map 2, Icebox Fnatic showed consistent dominance yet again. KRU managed to grab the first 2 rounds again and Fnatic yet again won another set of 10 rounds in a row. Fnatic won the map with 13-4 on the scoreboard.
Map 3(Ascent): Fnatic won the first 2 maps so map 3 was not played.
Winner
With 2-0 on the scoreboard Fnatic won the Game 1 of VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 1.
Game 2 (Crazy Raccoon vs Version 1)
Crazy Raccoon from Japan and Version 1 from NA region went face to face on the 2nd Game of the day.
Map 1 (Ascent): In a nail-biting 24 rounds game Version 1 got the best of Crazy Raccoon. In this back and forth of rounds Version1 won with a 13-11 score.
Map 2 (Icebox): Yet another nail-biter. Both teams went head-to-head on a long match. Maybe not longer than the technical pause. Version1 won with a 13-10 score.
Map 3 (Haven): Versio1 won the first 2 maps so map 3 was not played.
Winner
With 2-0 on the scoreboard Verson1 won the Game 2 of VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 1.
Game 3 (Nuturn Gaming vs YNG Sharks)
Nuturn Gaming from Korea and YNG Sharks from Brazil region went face to face on the 3rd Game of the day.
Map 1 (Haven): YNG Sharks shocks everyone and dominated map 1. YNG Sharks won the map with 13- 5 score.
Map 2 (Bind): The game got more exciting. Nuturn did exactly what Sharks did in map 1, complete dominance. Nuturn Gaming won the game with a 13- 5 score.
Map 3 (Ascent): Nuturn managed to secure the first 9 rounds in a row on this map. After the dominating 10 – 2 half, Nuturn Gaming won the map with a 13- 5 score.
Winner
With 2-1 on the scoreboard Nuturn Gaming won the Game 3 of VCT Masters Reykjavík Day 1.
