Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid recently featured in an advertisement for Cred which has gone viral as it shows him uncharacteristically losing his cool and shouting at people. The ad has been appreciated for its creativity and for showing Rahul Dravid in a never-seen before avatar. The ad has been playing during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and is continuing to receive plaudits and good reception.

Thanks to the ad’s popularity, a plethora of people are sharing their ‘Indiranagar ka gunda’ stories and pictures as Dravid was seen in the same avatar. The latest to do so is former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad who shared pictures of a famous incident during an India-Pakistan match where he had dismissed Aamir Sohail after being hit for a four and taunted by the Pakistani batsman, in 1996.

Venkatesh Prasad posted pictures from the famous incident at the 1996 World Cup and captioned it, “Me to Aamir Sohail in Bangalore at 14.5- #IndiraNagarkaGunda hoon main.” Sohail had hit Prasad for a four off the fifth ball of his over and gestured that he would continue to hit him angrily. However, Prasad got him out the next ball and gestured to him that his stay at the crease was over.

A Pakistani journalist replied to the post saying, “Prasad only achievement in his career” to which the 51-year-old replied, “Nahi Najeeb Bhai. Had reserved some achievements for later. In the very next World cup in Eng in 1999 , took 5/27 at Manchester against Pakistan and they were unable to chase 228. God bless you.

This tweet has now gone viral with Prasad receiving positive response to his troll of Aamir Sohail and the journalist who responded to him.
