Vice Permanently Added to Andbox’s New Valorant Roster After Trial
While in his first test with Andbox, Vice the former CS: GO pro helped his new team reach the grand finals of the Nerd Street Gamers March monthly event. But they fell to his former team, Cloud9, in the final series. He was the final addition of the C9 Blue VALORANT roster formed in 2020 but left in March before trialing with Andbox.
Vice is also a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) player. In March 2019, he originally joined C9’s CS: GO’s the competitive squad. He later became one of the founding members of Cloud9 Blue’s Valorant roster and was the backbone of C9 along with his teammate Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. On March 16, he parted ways with C9.
Vice In Andbox’s Team:
Andbox has permanently added Daniel “vice” Kim to its VALORANT roster ahead of the team’s Challengers Two main event run. He joined Andbox on trial at the end of March, just before the second stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour began. Daniel Kim is an American VALORANT player who formerly competed with Cloud9 Blue’s VALORANT team before joining Andbox. Before making the jump to VALORANT, Kim participated in professional CSGO competition for three years, playing for the likes of Cloud9 and Rogue.
There were tweets from both his former and newest recruiters, Cloud9 and Andbox wishing him all the luck in his successful journey ahead.
Kim actually first joined C9 in March 2019 on a trial contract for the org’s CS:GO roster. He was released from that trial a few months later in July when C9 brought in a new CS:GO roster consisting of several future VALORANT pros, including daps, koosta, mixwell, and his future teammate TenZ.
He joined Andbox on trial along with Adam “mada” Pampuch, who played with Luminosity during the First Strike qualifiers last year. Vice, mada, and the rest of Andbox successfully qualified for Stage Two’s NA Challengers One event, but they were bounced from the event early after two straight 2-0 losses to 100 Thieves and Immortals.
Following the new additions, the Andbox Valorant roster consists of:
- Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker
- Sebastian “seb” Bucki
- Aaron “b0i” Thao
- Adam “mada” Pampuch
- Daniel “vice” Kim
- Matt “Warden” Dickens
The Andbox squad, which includes both Vice and Mada, successfully qualified for Stage Two’s NA Challengers One event. The team later dropped out of the event after losing two subsequent matches to 100 Thieves and Immortals. Thereafter, with the trial players being permanently added after mada was officially signed yesterday, Andbox can look ahead to the Challengers Two main event they’ve already qualified for. This tournament will be their last chance to reach the NA Challengers Finals and thus their last chance to reach the Masters Two LAN in Iceland.
Most fans are happy about Vice and his career shift and so do we, wish him all the luck ahead.
