YouTube streamer and online talent Darren “IShowSpeed” (or Speed for short) hosted a long-awaited stream. It also featured boxing icon and former Filipino senator Manny ‘PacMan’ Pacquiao. Speed is currently on his first Southeast Asian tour, for the uninitiated. He is currently in Manila, Philippines. Even better, Pacquiao fought with him live on Twitter and for his YT stream.
It’s possible that Speed’s team got in touch with Pacquiao’s team to arrange the meeting. After an initial stare-off, with IShowSpeed barking, the two teed off punches. True to his moniker, the streamer went with speedy body shots and even exchanged with the boxer. The towering speed even took some light shots. But a straight southpaw liver shot from Manny Pacquiao downed the opponent. He could not get up for the count, laying with his arms stretched.
Asking for body shots from viral and prime fighters is not a new thing. From Alex Pereira to Colby Covington, even boxers have done that. But IShowSpeed is a different case and actually quite athletic. He recently met Thai Algerian kickboxer Nabil Anane during his tour. Speed also recently sparred and tapped out Adin Ross and even broke Pereira’s Brazillinator record.
From competing in the Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling 2024 to sparring to WWE collabs; Speed does it all. The 19-year-old YouTube streamer also recently agreed to race against a 2024 Paris Olympic runner. But his live collab with ‘PacMan’ showed the clear difference between athleticism and on-brand pro boxing. It’s good that his moniker does not spell ‘I-show-endurance’ because that would not bode well. However, the spot streaming competition has gone quite viral.

IShowSpeed is currently running an IRL Streaming Tour in South East Asia. Following the success of a similar tour in Europe, he is on a roll. Having covered all stops in the West – namely Italy, Poland, and so on – Speed now goes East. Who else better to compete than against former eight-division world champion Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs)?
Per Celebrity Net Worth, Pacquiao is worth an estimated 220 million dollars. ‘Pacman’ is loaded and his latest exhibition bout proved he is not much of his former self. Other than keeping aspirations for the WBC 147 lbs belt or a few exhibition matches, the boxer is in the woodshed. But that does not mean he has lost his power. The announcement regarding the broadcast comes from @SpeedUpdates1 on X, with updates about IShowSpeed.
This wasn’t the only time that Speed made mention of the boxer. Indeed, the two even traded Instagram DM’s, which the streamer revealed during a November 2023 stream. There’s also the possibility that the boxer facilitated the entry of the streamer, through the roads of Manila. But when it came to the ‘Pacman’ power vs. speed, Pacquiao was merciless. ‘Speed’ was down for the count.
Some said they didn’t expect him to last as long. Others expressed that Speed, much like an amateur was unguarded and gave up too much on a swing. Here are a few reactions to that.
What Speed got in return was a proper liver shot. This was a straight lesson in reasons not to mess with boxers/MMA fighters. However, others have lauded his spirit and billed him to be a global ambassador at this point with his multiple collaborations.
