Former WWE chair and CEO Vince McMahon was believed to be setting up an entertainment-hub company, as first reported by PWInsider in October 2024. It has finally come to fruition. McMahon’s newest business venture is an investment firm named 14TH & I, which is aimed at pursuing opportunities in sports, media, and entertainment.
The company would be presided over by Brad Blum, who’s a former WWE executive. As of now, there’s no indication of the firm dealing in wrestling-related business. Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics has other details and a part of the public filings pertaining to McMahon’s venture.
Thurston noted in the article that the 79-year-old business tycoon has liquidated almost $1.5 million in equity from November 2023 to April 2024. He did so while selling a number of his shares in TKO. However, as per an SEC filing dating back to last September, ‘The Genetic Jackhammer’ still owns more than 8 million shares in TKO, which are valued at a market cap of $1.2 billion.

It was recently claimed by Jonathan Coachman that Mr. McMahon is interested in regaining the ownership of WWE. It’d eventually mean purchasing back the wrestling juggernaut from Endeavor, which owns 51% controlling stake in TKO Group Holdings after the WWE-UFC merger. A report from PW Nexus stated that the conglomerate isn’t likely to put WWE up for sale.
What’s latest on the Vince McMahon-Janel Grant lawsuit?
Since January 2024, Vince McMahon has been involved in a civil lawsuit. Janel Grant, the plaintiff, also an ex-WWE employee, alleged McMahon and other top officials of physical abuse and s*x trafficking. On May 7, Sarah F. Russell, a judge in the U.S. District Court for Connecticut, accepted an amended version of Grant’s complaint, which will bolster the plaintiff’s case in demanding a trial of McMahon instead of an arbitration.

In a major development, a court ruling has dropped John Laurinaitis from the case. He’s now a former co-defendant in the lawsuit, as he’s agreed to provide new evidence against McMahon. As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, someone close to the situation noted that Laurinaitis turning his back on the WWE founder wasn’t unexpected. The other notable personality still mentioned as a defendant is Brock Lesnar. He hasn’t returned to WWE since August 2023 and wouldn’t be able to until he’s freed of the charges.

Amid the ongoing legal unrest in McMahon’s life, he has the unconditional backing of John Cena. While the latter hasn’t dismissed the allegations levied upon Vinnie Mac in any form or fashion, the ‘Peacemaker’ star has said on record that he loves McMahon. Carmella, a former WWE women’s champion, also had nothing but good things to say about the XFL founder. She noted that McMahon was always open and receptive to her ideas.
Was Vince McMahon upset with Triple H over his WrestleMania 38 open?
The position that was once held by Vince McMahon in WWE for decades is now being overseen by his son-in-law, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. ‘The Game’ has been the chief content officer of the company since September 2022. It came months after he announced his in-ring retirement at WrestleMania 38.

The former DX member revealed on his wife Stephanie McMahon‘s ESPN+ series that her father wasn’t over the moon about Levesque hanging up his wrestling boots for good like the way he did. The former WWE CEO believed that ‘The Cerebral Assassin’ kicking off WrestleMania with such a moment was a downer.
However, to Levesque, it was a triumphant experience since it was his first WWE appearance after a near-death experience. He underwent a heart procedure in September 2021, which was absolutely pivotal to saving his life. Levesque knew that his time in the ring was behind him from that nightmare of an experience.
