Spanish tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz has come up as the next big thing in men’s tennis. The 21-year-old has won only two Grand Slam titles so far but his athleticism and skills tempt people to compare him with the greats of the game like Rafael Nadal. Hailing from the same country as Nadal, Alcaraz is also seen as his successor.
While many feel that the youngster can achieve such things in his career, French rugby star Vincent Moscato is of a different opinion. Moscato does not believe that Alcaraz will succeed Nadal as the next Spanish tennis superstar.
The rugby star is so convinced about his claim that Moscato promised that he would eat a rat if Carlos Alcaraz managed to achieve the same things as Rafael Nadal. He took aim at the Spaniard for his frequent injuries and said that watching him play is like watching a 78-year-old. He further claimed that Alcaraz will end up with three Grand Slam titles at the most.
Poor Alcaraz is a crumbling candy cane. His forearm hurts, it looks like a 78 year old guy's match. At 20, your arm doesn't hurt a lot. Alcaraz, do you see him as Nadal’s successor?? Listen to me, I'll eat a rat if one day it's a successor. He will make three Grand Slams, no more. He is the successor of Henri Leconte!Vincent Moscato said on the Super Moscato show.
Vincent Moscato puts his bait on Novak Djokovic for 2024 French Open
Vincent Moscato made these comments while predicting his winner for the 2024 French Open. The rugby superstar put his bait on an old pot in Novak Djokovic. Moscato claimed that old pots make the best soup and hence Djokovic will be the favorite to win the title.
He claimed that with so many injured players on the tour, the Serbian ace will come out as victorious. Notably, quite a few top-ranked played including Carlos Alcaraz are currently injured. Hence, Djokovic who was already seen as the title favorite seems to have got the odds stacked in his favor.
We're not going to get bored, it's in the old pots that we make the good soups, so I think that Djoko is the thing and that with all the injured people, I'm putting a post on Djokovic.Vincent Moscato claimed. (H/T: We Love Tennis)
Notably, apart from Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev are also nursing injuries. Meanwhile, the King of Clay Rafael Nadal is not in his best form. It is to be seen if Moscato’s predictions come true or if Alcaraz will shut his critics with a Grand Slam title win.
