Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl. The Indian skipper took to his social media handles to announce the news. It is noteworthy that Kohli had left India’s ongoing tour of Australia on ‘paternity leave’ to be with his wife and their newborn.

The Indian side sealed a draw from the jaws of defeat today in the third Test against Australia and to add to the good news, the side’s skipper has become a father to a girl.

Virat Kohli took to Twitter to share the happy news and wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you for all your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.“
