IPL 2021: Virender Sehwag posts hilarious meme after Prithvi Shaw’s knock against CSK

Prithvi Shaw shut his critics down with a superb knock against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Delhi Capitals (DC) to lead them to victory. The young opener had a torrid time in last season’s Indian Premier League (IPL) before a dismal test in Adelaide against Australia. Having been dropped the side soon after and receiving criticism from around the globe, the Mumbai batsman gained form in the domestic circuit.

He then brought the form to the IPL with a quick-fire knock against CSK. Set a big target of 189, Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan took the bowlers on and had no hesitation in going after the bowlers at will. The duo found the boundaries at will and it was the former who was the aggressor. Showing immense ease in playing all his shots, it was well and truly a welcome return to form at the highest level for Shaw.

Soon after Prithvi Shaw’s innings, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag came up with a hilarious meme on his knock. Calling back to Indian head coach Ravi Shastri‘s opinion on Shaw that he showed glimpses of Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara in the way he played, Sehwag himself posted a hilarious meme. He posted an edited picture of the trio – Sehwag, Tendulkar and Lara and captioned it, “A good day for us.“

This post by Sehwag has now gone viral on social media with fans appreciating his sense of humor. Shaw meanwhile, having led his side to victory would focus on Delhi Capitals’ next match against Rajasthan Royals on the 15th of April in the same venue.
