The Golden State Warriors legend, Klay Thompson has been making the headlines regarding Thompson being on the verge of leaving the Warriors. This departure would see Thompson leaving the franchise where it all began for him as a professional NBA player. However, NBA reporter, Kendra Andrews shared her insight on how it went all wrong between the Warriors and Thompson.

Thompson is supposedly looking for a new team to start with since talks for a new contract between him and the Warriors’ decision-makers have reached a standstill. ESPN’s Kendra Andrews claims that if the Warriors’ management had taken the initiative and secured a contract extension sooner rather than expecting Thompson to become a free agent, this ugly breakup would have been avoided.

We have to flip back pretty much a whole calendar year to last summer when the Warriors and Klay could have first come to a new agreement, gotten him a new deal, and avoided this entire situation. But it didn't happen, and I'm told the way that last summer played out left a sour taste in Klay's mouth.
