The Golden State Warriors beat the Utah Jazz (129-107) on Monday. The entire team contributed to the win. In total, 8 Warriors scored in double-digits. After struggling to score for a while now, Klay Thompson was named player of the game with 26 points in 30 minutes.
But Draymond Green‘s unexpected bucket caught everyone’s attention. With 4 seconds left in the first half, Lauri Markkanen air-balled a 2-pointer. Green who was just down the rim caught the ball quickly and took the shot from half-court with 0.1 seconds left. To everyone’s surprise, the ball went in and Green beat the buzzer successfully.
In moments like these, if the team has just a few seconds to beat the buzzer, the obvious choice to take that shot will be Stephen Curry. But today, Green decided not to do that and take the shot himself. The unexpected moment had the Warriors hyped with a half-time lead at (63-55).
The Warriors are now on a 5-game winning streak. Green’s return from suspension has made a tremendous difference in the Warriors defense and performance in general. With Gary Payton being back healthy and Chris Paul returning shortly, the Warriors may still have a chance to qualify for playoffs.
Fans were shocked by Draymond Green’s Buzzer-beater
Buzzer beaters are always a great way to end quarters or even win the games. Fans always get hyped for their favorite player’s crazy shots which are far from the rim. These shots sometimes change the whole result of the game.

But if these crazy shots are made from non-shooters, NBA fans find them more exciting. That is what happened in today’s game of the Warriors against the Jazz. Draymond Green shot a half-court buzzer-beater with less than a second left to half-time. Fans reacted to the moment on social media.
With this win the Warriors are on a winning streak. The need to be consistent with this performance if they want to play in the playoffs and compete for the championship.
