WATCH: Charles Leclerc driving a 3-seater Ferrari on the Fiorano Circuit
Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc secured a P2 finish in front of the Tifosi at Monza this past weekend, and recently the Monegasque has been spotted at the Fiorano race track which is owned by Ferrari.
Charles Leclerc is coming after finishing a hectic triple-header schedule of F1 and it seems he is trying to unwind a bit by indulging himself in driving a 3-seater Ferrari.
The Monegasque in the video can be seen having a fun day out on the Ferrari-owned track. It is good to see him take his mind off F1, especially considering how tough it has been to digest some of the results that he has had behind the wheel of the F1-75 this year.
Next up on the F1 calendar is the Singapore Grand Prix, from 30th September onwards. There is plenty of time till then. That could be one of the reasons why Leclerc was seen having a fun day out because, during the Grand Prix weeks, it is extremely difficult for drivers to catch a break.
Charles Leclerc is a massive 116 points behind Max Verstappen in the Drivers Championship
Charles Leclerc has had a pretty up and down season for the Ferrari F1 team this year. While there have been errors on his part, most of the points that he lost were due to reliability issues of the F1-75 and the trackside decisions that the team has made off-late.
All the problems of the Maranello-based team have put Leclerc in a situation from where it is extremely difficult for him to make a comeback into the Championship fight against Max Verstappen.
There are only 6 races left in the 2022 F1 season and the 24-year-old is a massive 116 points behind Red Bull’s high-flying Dutch star. Given the situation of the Championship, even a miracle of sorts probably would not be enough to turn the tide in favour of Charles Leclerc.
However, the Monegasque can still try to land some victories in the remaining races of the season and bring the 2022 season to a close in style.
