FC Barcelona are facing Atletico Madrid in the La Liga with the La Liga title on the edge. All top four teams play each other this week and a victory for either side will boost their chances of winning the league.

The first half has ended 0-0 but not without plenty of goal mouth action for both teams. Atletico Madrid have had the better of the chances but Lionel Messi almost had a moment of magic to force Barcelona forward.

The match stands evenly poised at 0-0 after 45 minutes

Lionel Messi had a quiet afternoon against Atletico but sprung onto life(like he always does) in the 41st minute. The Barcelona skipper received the ball on the right flank and wove his magic, running past three defenders.

He had the ball glued to his feet as Atletico defenders failed to control his run. Messi’s final shot into the top left corner was saved wonderfully by Oblak, denying Barcelona the lead at Camp Nou.

The match is evenly poised so far but Atletico have had the better of the goalscoring chances in the first half.
