World No. 13 Emma Raducanu had yet another early exit as she exits the 2022 Miami Open in the second round, failing to win in her tournament debut. Up against Katerina Siniakova, Emma lost in yet another thrilling 3-set match despite being a break up and serving for the match but failed to clinch the title.

This was Emma’s 5th defeat of the season in her 7th match and continues to look for consecutive wins since she reached the quarter-finals at the 2021 Transylvania Open. Emma is now 4-8 since winning the 2021 US Open and is looking for a good run on the Tour desperately. Post her defeat, Emma addressed the press conference sporting Rafael Nadal‘s cap that has the Spaniard’s ‘raging bull’. Emma wore the Blue Nike Cap with Rafa’s bull at the Centre with the Nike swoosh on the sides.

“I mean, it was a long match. Very long rallies. I thought that she played really good. There was some good tennis on both sides, to be honest, but yeah, obviously it sucks to lose that one. Now all I want to do is just complete my first season on the tour in one piece. Doesn’t matter if I lose first round every week, just that’s the goal,” said Raducanu post her defeat to Siniakova.
