Rohit Sharma reacts to viral stump mic one-liner

In the past couple of months, Rohit Sharma has made headlines not due to his performance with the bat but with his one-liners that are often funny when he is on the field playing. Nearly two months ago, he told the onfield umpire to not give the leg bye as the ball hit his bat.

It happened during the third T20I against Afghanistan. After registering two consecutive ducks, Rohit did not want to create an unwanted record which is why he dished out the, “Hey Viru (umpire Virender Sharma), did you signal for the thigh pad on the first four? I hit that with my bat!” The captain explained why he said that during the aforementioned event in Bilaspur.

When you're coming off two zeros, we know how important scoring the first run is. I scored a four off the bat but the umpire probably didn't notice it and signaled them as leg byes. I usually don't look at the scoreboard much while batting.
Rohit said during the event in Bilaspur
My mind was on batting, but when the over was completed, my eyes went up there and I saw that Rohit Sharma was still on 0. I was like 'I just scored a four. How is it still zero?' So, I asked him 'Viru, did you give it off the thigh pad?'
He added

Rohit has 297 runs in eight innings at an average of 31.12 in the Test series. He scored just one century and one fifty in the series.
