Welsh International Daniel James set to leave Manchester United and join Leeds United on a loan
As the last day of the transfer window approaches various clubs are looking forward to strengthen their squad by making some new signings. Leeds United who were promoted to the Premier League after 16 years showed some promising signs in their opening game against Liverpool.
Against one of the best defense in the world Bielsa’s men netted in 3 goals and made a strong statement. Leeds scored a late goal against Sheffield this game week which earned them their first 3 points since promotion. Leeds United are now looking forward to strengthen their squad by bringing in the Welsh international Daniel James on a loan from Manchester United.
Daniel James will be a key asset to Marcelo Bielsa
Ever since the transfer window opened Manchester United showed interest in signing a proper RWF to strengthen their squad. Their talks with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jadan Sancho failed initially as United were not willing to pay the transfer fee demanded by Dortmund. But recent reports suggest that Manchester United will make a strong final bid this week to secure Jadon Sncho.
Manchester United currently use the services of Mason Greenwood and Daniel James in their Right Wing. Their academy product Greenwood has impressed both the fans and the team management with some sensational performances. But Daniel James who was Ole’s first signing hasn’t managed to continue his form which he showed initially. James who looked promising on his arrival at Old trafford failed to continue his form.
Reports suggest that Leeds United are in contact with Manchester United over the signing of Daniel James. James’ future at Old Trafford will be doubtful if United manage to sign Jadon Sancho or any other promising RWF. Leeds United showed interest over Daniel James in the 2019 transfer window too.
James even went to Elland Road to complete his medical but only to be signed by Manchester United for £18m. The former Swansea player however is willing to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the playing 11.
