“We’re set for an intense second half of the season,” Toto Wolff hoping to build on the foundation going into the summer break

Toto Wolff reckons to get back on top after the summer break ends. The first 13 races were a struggle for the Austrian and his team, fighting the battle against porpoising. But by the end of the first half, Mercedes got themselves back into fighting contention. Toto wants to fight for wins and battles besides Red Bull and Ferrari in the second half.
Mercedes were not even near in the first few races of the season. Fighting the likes of Haas and almost losing out of points in a few. Lewis Hamilton missed out on Q2 after a long time with possibly the worst car he has ever driven. George Russell the new member had been much closer to the top closing his race almost every time in the top 5.
But wins are something that hasn’t been in the league of the British team. But he is excited to find a way to stand on the top, “We’re set for an intense second half of the season, with nine more opportunities to find improvements, make progress and hopefully challenge Red Bull and Ferrari for wins,” Wolff said.
Toto Wolff excited about the Belgian GP
Toto Wolff is looking forward to Spa for another spiked weekend looking for a long-lost victory for his team. Lewis and George is probably the best pairing in the whole grid after the consistency they gave maintained over the whole season.
“Spa-Francorchamps needs no introduction. A classic track with an old-school feel, the scene of many iconic moments in F1 history and an incredible challenge for both the car and drivers. We’re excited to be back there, hopefully, we can put on an awesome show this year for all the fans in Belgium,” said Toto.
Hungary was another successful weekend for Mercedes after yet another double podium to their season. Mercedes are only 30 points behind Ferrari, the fastest car on track right now, and will attack the second position with their best possible experience.
