The first half started at a great tempo including shots off the target. Despite Mancehster United having a fair share of possession, the first goal of the match came from West Ham United in the 30th minute. The goal was scored by Said Benrahma. Within the five minutes of the goal by the West Ham United was scored, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant equaliser. The first half ended in 1-1.

When the game was heading towards a dull end, Jesse Lingard proved to be a game changer for Manchester United in the 89th minute. He scored a top-bin goal for Red Devils which helped them to get into the additional minutes with a lead. Luke Shaw conceded the penalty in the final minutes of the game but David de Gea saved the blushes for Red Devils.

David de Gea (7.9/10): The Spaniard had very less to do in the first half barring an excellent save early. He was left shocked when the ball took deflection for the first goal. His final minute save helped Manchester United to take home all three points from London.
