The first half started at a great tempo including shots off the target. Despite Mancehster United having a fair share of possession, the first goal of the match came from West Ham United in the 30th minute. The goal was scored by Said Benrahma. Within the five minutes of the goal by the West Ham United was scored, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant equaliser. The first half ended in 1-1.

When the game was heading towards a dull end, Jesse Lingard proved to be a game changer for Manchester United in the 89th minute. He scored a top-bin goal for Red Devils which helped them to get into the additional minutes with a lead. Luke Shaw conceded the penalty in the final minutes of the game but David de Gea saved the blushes for Red Devils.

Lukasz Fabianski (7.6/10): The Polish shot-stopper was on money for West Ham United. If not for Fabianski, it would have been 3-1 in the first half.

Aaron Cresswell (6/10): Aaron Cresswell did not have a great outing against Manchester United. He failed to contribute offensively for his team. 

Tomas Soucek (6.7/10): Tomas Soucek, playing in the pivot, created chances for his team as well as defended the long rangers valiantly.

Declan Rice (6.1/10): A Manchester United target failed to live up the hype in the midfield. He had a 98% pass success rate in the game. 

Jarrod Bowen (7.1/10): Jarrod Bowen dribbled past the Manchester United midfield easily. He had four dribbles in the first half of the game. 

Said Benrahma (8/10): The goal scorer for West Ham United, Benrahma was key in creating the chances for the Hammers.

David de Gea (7.9/10): The Spaniard had very less to do in the first half barring an excellent save early. He was left shocked when the ball took deflection for the first goal. His final minute save helped Manchester United to take home all three points from London.

Aaron Wan Bissaka (6.6/10): The right-back, after a horrendous outing in the Champions League, made amends and was involved in attack and defense both. 

Raphael Varane (6.3/10): The new signing of Manchester United was unable to stop the goal in the first half as the ball deflected off him.

Harry Maguire (6/10): The England international looked shaky in defending the aerial balls as well. 

Luke Shaw (6.8/10): Luke Shaw was on his money with his attacking crosses as well as tackles. His crosses were not by Ronaldo or Greenwood to get an assist to his name. 

Scott McTominay (6.2/10): The Scottish midfielder recovered from groin surgery and broke the attacks of the opposition.

Fred (6.5/10): Though the Brazilian was guilty of giving the balls cheaply, he was the engine in Manchester United’s midfield. 

Bruno Fernandes (6.5/10): Though the assist was not given to Bruno Fernandes, he whipped in a cross that Ronaldo converted into the goal. 

Paul Pogba (7/10): Paul Pogba started on the left flank for Red Devils. He created the chances and was close to opening the scoring for United.

Mason Greenwood (6.6/10): The Golden Boy of Manchester United continued his fine run in the league with runs. 

Cristiano Ronaldo (7.9/10): The Portuguese talisman was key in MUFC’s attacks. He not only created the chances but scored the equaliser for the team with a great kick.
