The Swiss Indoors and the Vienna Open have ended, and so the tennis world will shift its focus to the last Masters 1000 of the season: the Paris Masters, the main draw of which kicked off on October 27.
Alexander Zverev will be playing as the defending champion. Last year, the World No.3 defeated Ugo Humbert in the final. He also reached the Paris Masters final in 2020 but failed to beat Daniil Medvedev. The Russian recently ended his title drought at the Almaty Open, lifting his first title since the 2023 Italian Open.
Jannik Sinner has never progressed beyond the third round of the Paris Masters and skipped the event last year. Sinner will be making his fourth appearance at the Paris Masters after a successful campaign in Vienna.
In the final, the four-time Grand Slam champion defeated Zverev in three sets to clinch his fourth title of the season. Sinner is also chasing his first Masters 1000 of the season. He played the finals of the Italian Open and the Cincinnati Masters, losing both to Carlos Alcaraz.
The Spaniard has bagged three Masters 1000 this year (Monte Carlo Masters, Italian Open, and the Cincinnati Masters). Alcaraz also has never tasted success here, and last year, his run ended in his second match, losing to Humbert.
The six-time Grand Slam champion has clinched eight titles from 10 finals, the last being the Japan Open, where he defeated Taylor Fritz. He produced his best in Paris when he reached the quarterfinals in 2022. Alcaraz is the winner of just one indoor hardcourt title, the Rotterdam Open, which he clinched this season.
Fritz, the fourth seed, will also be aiming to win his third title of the season. He has two trophies to his name this season, the Stuttgart Open and the Eastbourne International. The American ace also reached the final of the Japan Open, losing the match to Alcaraz.
The other two 10-seeded players in the draw are Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur, Lorenzo Musetti, Casper Ruud, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Karen Khachanov.
Prize money for the 2025 Paris Masters

| Round of 16 | $95,939 |
| Quarterfinals | $179,361 |

Novak Djokovic, who last won the Paris Masters in 2023 by defeating Grigor Dimitrov, will be skipping the event for the second consecutive time. The 24-time Grand Slam champion holds the record for most Paris Masters titles (seven from nine finals).
He has also made the most appearances in the event (17) as well as won the most number of matches (50). The Serb was last seen in action at the Six Kings Slam exhibition, where he first lost to eventual winner Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, then handed the walkover to Taylor Fritz in the third-place match.
The last official match the 38-year-old played was the semifinal of the Shanghai Masters against eventual winner Valentin Vacherot. Djokovic is likely to end his season in the first edition of the Hellenic Championship, scheduled to start on November 2 in Athens.
After the Paris Masters, the eight qualified players will be heading to Turin for the ATP Finals, where Sinner will enter as the defending champion (beat Fritz last year). As Sinner is less than 1000 points behind Carlos Alcaraz on the rankings table, winning the Paris Masters will help him reclaim his No.1 ranking from the Spaniard. But Sinner will only reach the No. 1 ranking if he wins the title and Alcaraz fails to progress to the semifinals.
