When it comes to making clutch decisions, they sh*t their pants: Lebron James hits back at Colby Covington
Not many can achieve what Lebron ‘King’ James has achieved in his illustrious 17-year career in the NBA. The much verbal former interim champion Colby Covington did not hold back while calling out Lebron James after defeating Tyron Woodley at UFC Vegas 11’s main event. Though the highlight in the post-match press conference was President Donald Trump calling his long-time supporter to congratulate him for a dominating performance. But Covington surely crossed the line while naming Lebron James.
In his post-fight interview, the 32-year-old fighter fired shots at James who has been quite vocal with his support for the Black Lives Matter campaign. Covington, who has a professional MMA record of 16-2, referred to LeBron as a “spineless coward”.
Lebron James fires back at Colby Covington: Anybody can trash talk
After winning the second game in the Western Conference Finals against Denver Nuggets, James fired back at Covignton. Although the Lakers star didn’t mention Colby by name, it was clear that he was referring to the UFC star’s comments. James has always been outspoken and criticized Trump for his antics bluntly stated, “Anybody, can talk trash from the outside but when it comes to the real crunch decisions, 10 out of 10 times, they s*** their pants.”
Son of rapper Ice Cube, O’Shea Jackson Jr was also left fuming with Colby’s disrespectful comments towards LeBron James. In a series of tweets, O’Shea expressed his anger towards Colby. He accused the UFC fighter of spreading hate and injustice among the African-American community.
