It was a tremendously exciting qualifying session at the Japanese Grand Prix weekend as Marc Marquez ended a three year streak to achieve pole position on an extremely soaked track. It came as an utter shock to the fans when they witnessed this spectacle. Although this wasn’t the only surprising incident that took place in the delayed MotoGP session at Motegi.

With Marc Marquez starting at the front, he will be joined by Johann Zarco and Brad Binder on the front row. The rain soaked session turned out to take many riders by surprise as the top 3 championship contenders did not put in the performance expected by them. However out of the three, Aleix Espargaro came out on top after classifying 6th meanwhile championship leader Fabio Quartararo qualified 9th but the real disaster was what happened with the 2023 Factory Ducati pair.

Ducati Factory rider Pecco Bagnaia finished the session in a disappointing 12th place while his future teammate Enea Bastianini who was close to being a title contender managed to bin it in Q1 and has to start the race from 15th tomorrow due to his fall. Although twitter was in shock as the MotoGP legend Marc Marquez had shown his true form. Here are some of the reactions that the fans had regarding the enthralling qualifying session.

Although Qualifying is just 50% of the work that has been completed. Tomorrow’s race will be a real stepping stone in Marc Marquez’s comeback. With the title contenders starting on the back foot, Marc has a slight advantage but there is no guarantee on whether it will last or not. With Ducati pair in distress, will we get to see another constructor on the top step of the podium tomorrow?
