4. Rafael dos Anjos has 21 wins

Even at 40 years of age, Rafael dos Anjos refuses to quit the sport. Not only that, he only competes against the top fighters in the lightweight and welterweight divisions. His fighting record consists of so many UFC legends. RDA started competing in the UFC from 2008. Even he couldn’t win his first UFC bout as he lost to KO artist Jeremy Stephens at UFC 91.

Nevertheless, RDA didn’t give up. The former lightweight champion has 21 wins so far in the UFC. He ranks fourth in the all-time list. Some of his best wins came against well-known fighters Anthony Pettis, Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, Nate Diaz, Robbie Lawler, and Renato Moicano. If retirement is longer in sight, RDA might go up the ranking if he gets into the win column again.

3. Jon Jones, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway and two more fighters tied at 22 wins

Jon Jones was always bound to be on the list. After all, he has competed in the UFC since 2008. Furthermore, he has 16 title fight wins in the promotion as well. His TKO win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 etched his 22nd win in the promotion.

Joining Jones in the tie is Dustin Poirier. With over a decade in the UFC, Poirier has fought many elite competitors in the UFC. It is really impressive for ‘Diamond’ to win 22 UFC bouts (against top fighters) although he never held the undisputed title. Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, Dan Hooker, Eddie Alvarez, Max Holloway, Anthony Pettis, and Michael Chandler are some of the names on his resume.

Poirier’s UFC 236 opponent, Max Holloway, also has 22 wins in the promotion. The Hawaiian fighter has competed in the UFC for over a decade, with an impressive resume in the UFC. Featherweight GOAT Jose Aldo, Frankie Edgar, Pettis, Charles Oliveira, Yair Rodriguez, and The Korean Zombie are some of the names on his resume.

The other two remaining fighters with 22 wins are Neil Magny and Demian Maia. Both of them competed in the UFC for a long time, and stopped rising contenders from climbing the welterweight rankings in the UFC.

2. Charles Oliveira and two other fighters tied at 23 wins

Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira first competed in the UFC back in 2010. All of his career losses (10) came only in the UFC, revealing the difficulty involved in the promotion. He is now tied at 23 wins for the second place, needing one more victory to elevate himself. Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Tony Ferguson, Beneil Dariush, and Chandler are some of the big names on his resume.

UFC legends Donald Cerrone and Andrei Arlovski also hold the second position, with 23 UFC wins in their respective careers. In recent times, Cerrone has teased a comeback. As such, he may get the opportunity to increase the number of wins in the UFC. Meanwhile, Arlovski reigned as the heavyweight champion in the 2000s and left the UFC in 2024.

1. Jim Miller is lonely at the top with 27 wins

Much like Jones and RDA, Jim ‘Fu**king’ Miller also started competing in the UFC in 2008. Although he has had a journeyman career, the heart of Miller cannot be denied. Even after facing numerous defeats, the New Jersey native pushed on and secured victories as well. He is still competing at the age 41 and will turn 42 by the end of this year.

Known for his ‘kill or be killed’ attitude, Miller is a dangerous submission specialist and can crack his opponent with a precise strike. His tally of 27 wins in the UFC might remain unachievable. To put this into context, reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has 15 UFC victories on his resume. Makhachev only competes once or twice a year, and may need another 5 or 6 six years to reach the tally.

Who knows if the Dagestani retires soon or fall out of his prime like Tony Ferguson, leaving him further away from the record. The only fighter capable of matching Miller in the UFC right now is Charles Oliveira, who has plenty left to give. Until that happens, Jim Miller is going to remain on top for a very long time.
