23 is the record for most wins in UFC history
Donald Cerrone holds the record for the most wins in UFC history. ‘Cowboy’ has a whopping 23 wins in his UFC career, more than anyone else in the active and retired roster. The 38-year old made his debut on the 5th of February, 2011 against Paul Kelly. He won his first match via. submission in the second round.
By the end of 2011, Cerrone was 4-1 in the UFC. He won his first four fights before going down to Nate Diaz at UFC 141, via. unanimous decision. Cerrone fought twice in 2012, and won both of his fights. 2013 was a mixed bag for Cerrone – 2 wins and 2 losses.
Going into 2014, Cerrone was 8-3 in the UFC. ‘Cowboy’ was on an absolute tear in 2014, winning all of his four fights. He began 2015 on a brilliant note as well, and would have ended in grand fashion had he not lost to Rafael dos Anjos via. TKO on the 19th of December 2015. By the end of 2015, Cerrone had 15 wins in the UFC.
‘Cowboy’ was unbeaten in 2016 as well. He won all his 4 fights to reach 19 wins in the UFC. He was just 1 win away from the all-time record. However, to reach that, Cerrone had to endure a winless 2017. He lost all three fights in 2017. And finally in February 2018, Cerrone tied the record for the most wins in UFC after beating Yancy Medeiros.
That very same year Cerrone went past the record after beating Mike Perry via. submission in November 2018. He currently has 23 wins in the UFC, which is the record for the most wins in UFC.
Demian Maia, Jon Jones and Dustin Poirier not that behind in list for most wins in UFC
Demian Maia is a close second with 22 wins in his UFC career. UFC light-heavyweight GOAT Jon Jones is also not that far away. He has 21 wins. Largely active lightweights Dustin Poirier, Rafael Dos Anjos and Charles Oliveira are close as well. Poirier has 20 wins, while the Brazilians RDA and Oliveira have 19.
