Derrick Lewis was just having fun at the press conference, and he made a sarcastic remark about various fighters moving up a weight class.

When asked about who would he rather face between Jon Jones, Stipe Miocic, or Francis Ngannou he said “I don’t know man, I don’t know who am I gonna fight, maybe I’ll have to fight Izzy (Israel Adesanya) maybe Might Mouse (Demitrious Johnson) would move up to the heavyweight.”

According to Lewis there is just so much uncertainty in the division and that’s why fans need to look out for what’s happening every week so that they don’t miss any of the action that’s going on and he also believes that Mighty Mouse can beat him in a fight he thinks he’s just too fast, he’ll take him down and keep him there.

After his fight with Curtis Blaydes, Lewis would only have one fight left in his UFC contract. His previous contract was of six fights and he wants to stay in the UFC as he loves the management and everyone here, apart from that lady that makes him do the interview.

If he can beat Blaydes then he would be a legitimate contender for the title and his chances of getting a new contract would be a lot more, so this is an important fight for him for his future inside the UFC octagon.
