Garrett Wilson is a wanted man. With the NFL trade deadline set to close on November 12, analysts and fans are linking Wilson to several championship-contending teams. Wilson is aware of the chatter.

Wilson hasn’t appeared in a playoff game since the New York Jets drafted him 10th overall in 2022. The Jets are 2-5 in 2026. If Aaron Glenn’s team fails to string together a winning run, they risk extending their postseason drought.

Next week, they face the Las Vegas Raiders. Although both teams have losing records, the Raiders are heavy favorites to win. Ahead of that, reporters asked wide receiver Garrett Wilson about his future.

Garrett Wilson is linked with a move away from the Big Apple. However, the former Offensive Rookie of the Year has no intention of leaving the Jets.

I want to be here. I want to win games. That’s the one thing we’ve been missing on here. I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest. But I’m hopeful.

The trade chatter caught second wind after Wilson and quarterback Geno Smith had a heated moment during the Jets’ latest defeat to the Miami Dolphins. Both Wilson and Smith downplayed the incident later on.

Wilson crossed 1000-yards for three straight years to start his NFL career. A knee injury limited him to just seven starts last year. In seven games this campaign, Wilson has 37 receptions, 444 yards, and 3 touchdowns.

The 26-year-old is in the second year of his four-year, $130 million extension, but retired quarterback and CBS Sports analyst Russell Wilson urged the Jets wide receiver to seek a trade to either the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers.

In a recent episode of CBS Sports’ NFL show, the Super Bowl winner gave his honest opinion on the wide receiver.

To me, I mentioned it last week, and I’m gonna say it again. If I’m Garrett Wilson, where do I want to go? I’m going to the Kansas City Chiefs. I got one other team…. San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have a chance, and if I’m Garrett Wilson, I’m checking out the San Francisco 49ers, and if I’m 49ers…

Russell Wilson said.

Wilson loves the idea of the 26-year-old playing in Kyle Shanahan’s system since All-Pro wideout Mike Evans missed the Niners’ defeat to the Falcons because of Achilles tendinitis and a previous rib injury.

Evans isn’t the only receiver dealing with injuries. Deebo Samuel has a hamstring injury; DeMarcus Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain; Rickey Pearsall is out for the year; rookie De’Zhaun Stribling has an ankle injury; and Christian Kirk recently returned from a calf strain.

Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing, and veteran Brandin Cooks shared most of the snaps in Week seven. The Niners need a WR1, and reports suggest that they could aggressively target Wilson before the deadline.

Wilson has caught 352 receptions for 4088 yards and 21 touchdowns in 65 games with the Jets. The 26-year-old played college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He caught 143 passes for 2213 yards and 23 touchdowns in three years.
