The Money in the Bank PLE is merely a week away, and the event promises to be an unforgettable one. Emanating from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the show will consist of two matches of the namesake stipulation. On the men’s side of things, Jey Uso is arguably the favorite to become Mr. Money in the Bank. However, the Raw Superstar shouldn’t be the one walking away with the guaranteed world title shot in hand.
Without doubt, “Main Event” Jey is at the peak of his career and has been one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE. Moreover, the 38-year-old will be a world champion in the future. However, there is one important chapter left for him to close before that. That would be reuniting with his brother, Jimmy Uso, and cousin, Roman Reigns
The Bloodline storyline needs Jey Uso
At WrestleMania, Jey defeated Jimmy in a brother vs. brother battle. The following day, Reigns lost his Undisputed WWE title against Cody Rhodes, in which the UCE played part in evening the odds. Since the Showcase of Immortals, Solo Sikoa has taken over the reins of The Bloodline. More importantly, he has kicked off faction warfare against The Tribal Chief by bringing in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
With that said, the Head of the Table will most definitely need backup. And who better than the brothers with whom he had started the iconic Bloodline saga? Therefore, Jey Uso will be needed in the coming months of the civil war storyline. In addition to that, the leadup to his reunion with Jimmy and Roman will take weeks to build.
Jey Uso winning the world championship should be a bigger moment
The Bloodline saga shouldn’t involve any championships. For four years, the main focus of the storyline was on Roman Reigns and his record-breaking title reign. Moreover, the majority of his title defenses ended with the former Shield member retaining it with the help of his family. As such, it would be better to separate the world title from the angle to make the outcomes of the matches uncertain.
The YEET Master winning the Money in the Bank briefcase would be a major hindrance to the entire saga. In fact, Jey Uso finally getting his hands on the big one should be a bigger moment than cashing in the contract. Hence, fans might have to wait a little longer to see the former Bloodline member being crowned a world champion.
