Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes have been embroiled in an intense feud for the past few months. Ever since the shocking heel turn of The Prizefighter, he has been on a mission to dismantle The American Nightmare. With the animosity being at an all-time high, they are set to collide at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Owens’ recent heel turn has been making waves among the WWE Universe, showcasing some of the best work of his career. A loss at this point could damage the credibility of the Canadian superstar, making it entirely plausible that he could defeat Rhodes at the upcoming retro PLE.

WWE might be planning to turn the feud between The Rock and Cody Rhodes into a non-title saga
Cody Rhodes will likely face The Rock in the early months of 2025, potentially at WrestleMania 41. Given the magnitude of this feud, the Undisputed Championship may not be necessary to maintain its relevance. As a result, WWE could have Rhodes drop the title before WrestleMania.
Given that Kevin Owens is one of the credible candidates to dethrone Cody Rhodes, WWE could capitalize on this momentum by putting the title on Owens. Furthermore, having the Undisputed Title around Owens’ shoulder could elevate the relevance of any other feud leading into WWE’s Netflix era.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could eventually clash with the Undisputed Title on the line
Sami Zayn is currently locked in The Bloodline Saga with Roman Reigns, but he will likely cross paths with The Prizefighter in the future. Owens is a significant asset to WWE. Hence, it is possible for the company to crown him as WWE Champion for the first time in over 7 years. With WWE likely investing in his recent character shift, they might orchestrate a major swerve in Uniondale, NY, as an incentive for Owens to sign a multi-year deal.
